Gujarat Sets a Big Total
Gujarat batted well and set a target of 205 runs against KKR. Vijay Shankar and Sai Sudharsan scored half-centuries, while Shubman Gill scored 39 runs before getting out to Narine. The other players, Saha and Abhinav Manohar, also contributed with 17 and 14 runs, , and David Miller remained not out with 2 runs. Gurbaz and Jagadeesan couldn’t give KKR a good start, losing two wickets early on. However, Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana had a big partnership of 100 runs. Nitish Rana scored 45 runs in 29 balls before being out to Alzarri Joseph, while Iyer played an impressive inning, scoring 83 runs in 40 balls with eight fours and five sixes. Andre Russel, Narine, and Thakur also went without scoring runs for the team.
Rinku Singh's Brilliance in the Last Over
Rinku Singh played a brilliant inning for KKR in the last over. KKR needed 29 runs to win the match, and in the first ball, Umesh Yadav took a single and gave strikes to Rinku Singh. Singh hit five sixes in the remaining five balls of the match, securing a win for KKR. He scored 48 runs not out in 21 balls.
